“Tour Through Time” Augmented Reality
To commemorate THE PLAYERS Championship’s 25th anniversary, developed and launched an augmented reality experience featuring Brand Ambassador and TOUR pro Justin Rose which highlighted some of the most epic moments at TPC Sawgrass. Titled, “Tour Through Time,” users accessed the experience on mobile devices via QR code or direct link and were able to place Justin Rose—in 3D—and a player showing the featured moment in their own space. The experience was available for those onsite and those at home, with unique entry points for each. Fans at TPC Sawgrass were also able to win a premium prize if they “captured” half of the available moments (scanning the QR code).
My Role:
Primary owner of “Tour Through Time,” interfacing with the vendor and PGA TOUR during development, providing strategic input on branding, messaging and promotional channels
Coordinated script and vol-cap filming of Justin Rose
Managed Morgan Stanley QA testing of the experience through numerous design phases as well as coordinating testing to guarantee employees globally were able to access it while on company WiFi and while using Firm-issued devices
Developed Morgan Stanley communications plan to drive engagement and awareness
Partnered with PGA TOUR and vendor to measure usage of the AR experience and engagement with various promotional banners, emails and social media posts
